Metaphors on Vision is about the language of everyday life through vision. Every thing that he talks about fundamentally refer back to the topics of "birth, sex, death, and the search for God." He is basically talking about how powerful our eyes are in a sense that we, individually, can see things through our own perceptions and make different conclusions about things. For example, he points out cave paintings and how they were used to show fear.

It's very interesting that our minds can comprehend a language just from pictures and/or moving pictures, in this case, cinema. Since pictures do not have any words, they make us think and say what we want to conclude about them. After that, they also sort of make us gather around other people to make a conversation about it/them.
