In Kino Eye, I love how Dziga Vertov mentions that our eyes cannot improve, while a camera can continuously become more perfect. The way I see it is.....they are both related in an inverse manner. As we age, our eye sight becomes worse and worse, while a camera continues to improve because of technology.

He also mentions "the ear does not spy, the eye does not eavesdrop". I think this sort of means that each feature of a camera has its own unique function and can't be changed into a different function.
